Are You Enough?

It’s so easy for our guilt to weigh us down to the point where we feel lost. Suddenly, we start to hear that voice that tells us that we are not enough and that we no longer belong to the Father. I know I’ve heard that voice before and I believed it. Then, I realized that voice didn’t belong to me nor God.
I want to encourage and remind you that you’re loved and cherished by God despite what you have done. When we feel as if we’re not good enough for Him, we need to reflect on the Cross and what Jesus has done for us. Romans 3:23 says, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”, but by grace through faith, our Heavenly Father sent his Son down to earth to sacrifice His life for ALL of us (John 3:16). Because of this great truth, we have the ability to be at peace with the Lord. By our salvation, we rest in knowing that He sees us with Christ’s righteousness.
I think, sometimes, we can easily forget the role the devil plays in our lives. His schemes often occur when we least expect it or aren’t fully aware of it, and periodically, we’re too late to come to the realization. The devil will play mind games with you and he won’t stop until you give the Holy Spirit access to work in your heart.
I want to leave you with five points. Whenever you feel guilty and/or believe that you are not good enough in God’s eyes, remind yourself of this:
God’s love is everlasting
(Romans 8:35-39, Psalm 103:17-18)
Turn to God (in prayer and by reading His Word), don’t give the devil any opportunity
(James 4:7-8, 10 ; Ephesians 4:27)
Know the good you ought to do, and DO IT
(James 4:17)
Find peace in God, for he gives it to you
(Psalm 62:1-2, 5-8 ; John 14:27)
Remember who you truly are (in Christ)
Ephesians 1:3-14
Whatever the devil makes you think or however he makes you feel, know that you are enough… but the real question is: Is Christ enough for you - because He is the only one who can take away that guilt of yours that so heavily brings you down?
